Panamaram sits away from the resort strip, so the evenings stay quiet and the mornings come with fog over the fields. The chalets stand in a row above the pool, decks facing open paddy and the hills behind it.
It is a short drive from Mananthavady and the Kabini headwaters, close enough to reach the falls and the lakes in a morning, far enough that you hear birds instead of traffic. After dark the lamps come on along the paths and the roof lines light up over the water.
